Glad you didn't get wet...but be SURE she's able to urinate. That's critical.

Re: One more thing...
Sometimes, though, I think brain-storming helps. Most of us will admit up front we have little or no experience or expertise. Sometimes I post because no one else has, and I want to give reassurance to someone who has reached out for help. I'm always fairly confident that someone with more info and ...

Re: Help Needed: Old dog not sleeping
I would suggest getting an opinion from another vet. Obviously, something is going on. It sounds like the dog is either in pain or insecure. How long has this been going on? Is the dog handicapped in any way? Sometimes handicapped pets do this when their owners are out of their range of sight, I thi...

Most definitely!!! There is a picture and story about a llama on wheels. I think it's on the Eddie's Wheels site. I will try and find the link and post it.

Re: Urinary: Express a cat bladder
You can learn to express...and that is URGENT!! If he isn't emptying his bladder completely, he can develop a urinary infection. If he's not going at all, death can occur within 24 hours. There is a link to expressing on here. Have you seen it? If not, surely someone will post it. Also, they make ca...

Re: Dogs: Bailey won't eat *LINK*
The link is to a page about liver disease in cats, which may or may not be of any help. You probably have done all the research when Bailey's problems started. I also found an herbal preparation that claims to cure liver problems. http://www.gwwholesale.com/liver.htm I don't know anything about it, ...

It could be the meds. Bladder control problems...do you mean leaking? It could be any number of things. I really hope you took Sharlet's advice and took her to the vet. Please keep us posted.

Re: Dogs: Please Help Save Darla!
Bless your heart. I can only imagine what you're going through. Please check with other vets to see if they will take payments, even if it's in a neighboring state. Ask your vet if he/she will take payments, and if not, could they possibly refer you to someone who would? I don't know if any vet scho...

I wonder if someone makes something more sturdy? I'm picturing something like back braces they make for humans.

Good research, Barbara!! That might give them some leverage. They might suggest to the breeder that unless she helps, they will file a complaint with the BBB. They also need to make the breeder aware that they're aware of a previous complaint.

Re: Dogs: Bailey won't eat
I wish I had an answer for you, but really don't. Have you consulted your vet? I think for now I would mix something really good with her special diet. I'm thinking different types of baby food. That works with my cats. Maybe make 1/4 of her food baby food or something appealing. If that doesn't wor...

Re: Dogs: Please Help Save Darla!
Please keep us posted. I agree with approaching the breeder. If they refuse, Small Claims Court might be the way to go. Have you found any assistance yet?

Re: Here's an idea...
I have no idea if anything like this is available...maybe someone else does. Is there any sort of back support that would stabilize the spine while protecting it?
