Re: My sister and a duck named Harold

I finally have a photo of Harold. My sis says he's doing very well & keeps tabs on regularly. Looks like she won't be moving to Scotland for a while because her fiancee's work in the middle east keeps geting postponed because of problems over there. So she's been in limbo waiting & spending ...

Re: My sister and a duck named Harold

Sorry I didn't see your note about a photo of Harold. I've been so busy lately that I don't get to visit this forum as much as I used to. Anyway, I contacted my sis and she's going to try and send some photos of Harold and some of the other ducks. :mybad:

Re: My sister and a duck named Harold

Oh thank you so much for that information. I'm calling my sis right now to let her know so she can forward it on to the "duck" lady and Harold. I told her to keep me posted on how he's doing, and she said the lady has several ducks in need of surgery. This wonderful woman is just a volunte...

Re: My sister and a duck named Harold

I must apologize. I had to delete the pic of Harold that my sis painted. I forgot it didn't have a copyright on it, and there's been a problem recently with art theft on the internet. :mybad:

My sister and a duck named Harold

I just wanted to share a great story with y'all about animal rescue. My twin sister Jacqui lives outside Phoenix in a beautiful apartment complex with a pretty lake as her "backyard". As such, she (being an animal lover-rescuer-nut just like me) has become friends with the ducks that frequ...

Re: not sure what to do now

Oh, he looks so adorable and sweet. Makes me want to pick him up and hug him, bless his heart. You can see in his eyes that he's been through some tough times for one so young. I'm a little sad looking at him because he reminds me so much of a little puppy I picked up a few months back. He was wande...

Re: Alternative to pee pads and possible solutions

Thank you for those great suggestions! I'm going to Target this weekend and buy a few of those "Soaker Mattress Pads". They're big enough for all 4 doggies.

Re: Trooper & I are new here

CarolC, you won't believe it, but tonight I found 2 fleas in my bed. Doggone it! I was so hoping the freeze would zap those little "suckers". Hopefully there won't be as many. The last few years have been awful! And Karen...thanks for sharing that story about Buddy! If it's possible...

Re: Grete crossed over

Hi Caroline, Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I've had a lot of close calls with my babies over the last 4 weeks, but fortunately they're all okay now (3 got real sick, 1 fell and had a huge hematoma on his head). I've lit a candle :candle: for your babies again and I'm pasting the url for you to ...

Re: We put Sassy to sleep today

Hi Les, Haven't been here in a while myself, but had a good New Year. Hope everyone else did as well. I'm so glad to hear about the adoptions. It's always hard to let go (as you well know, I don't let go of many...hahaha) but sounds like they'll have great homes. And I'm glad Deb wants to take anoth...

Re: not sure what to do now

Tessa, I can't say I know how you feel because I've never been in exactly the same position. We all feel differently, no matter how similar the situation. But I do know that you said you trust Xena. i have been coaching myself to just let go and trust. she'll do it. she'll figure it out. she has alw...

Re: Trooper & I are new here

The last 4 weeks have been so crazy I haven't been able to visit this forum and all of you. I almost lost my 19 year old Mr. Kitty to a freak accident (he must have fallen during the night though we didn't hear anything, and had a huge hematoma on the left side of his head- monstrous almost,...

Re: Trooper & I are new here

Thought I'd post an update on Trooper's progress (& mine). He has completely transitioned from "feral" to "house cat". He lets me give him baths, pet him and scratch his head, and plays "scoot around the rosie" with me. Now he's even learning to "speak" (s...

Re: Jager is recovering well from THR

Congrats Jager on a great recovery! One of mine had a knee replacement, but I've never had to deal with a hip replacement. He looks so brave and handsome... and ready to run! I'm betting he passed his checkup with flying colors. :trophy:

Re: Grete crossed over

Oh, what a sweet little bear. I was okay till I saw her picture, now the tears won't stop falling. Maybe Buster boo went first to prepare the way for Grete, so she wouldn't be afraid. I bet he was there to welcome her with lots of puppy kisses. I'm sorry for your losses. I know how hard it is to los...
