Re: suggestion on flooring

Wally loves to lay on the carpet to scratch his face too. Wally had crystals and they turned into stones, I found them when I expressed him, the vet checked his urine, and put him on different food and distilled water, since then he has had no more stones. He just had 2 urinallisis done 2 weeks apart...

Re: suggestion on flooring

I was happy to see the picture of your new flooring. I would like to know what material and colour you used. The picture was kind of dark. How is the flooring working? I really need to change my carpet for the same reason.

Re: I feel so guilty bladder infection in my paraylised dog

Please don't blame yourself. My paraylised dog never had a bladder, however he did have bleeding from the penis as I was changing him. I took him to the ve and he had bladder stones, so please do take him to the vet , let us know how he is doing. We all care on this board.

Re: Extremely worried, please help =(

I agree with Trublu, crate rest would be the best. Having pain in the dog's leg shows he has feeling in his leg or legs. My dog didn't have surgery ,I crated him and did physical therapy with him. Wally was unable to walk for 2 1/2 years, he walks and runs, but very shaky. Wally doesn't have control...

I am so sorry for your loss. You are a very brave woman. I can tell that you really loved your kitty, I am so sorry for your loss and the terrible way kitty died, I agree ther was nothing you could have done. Those dogs were vicious, your kitty did not have a chance, and no it was not your fault you...

Re: Need help and advice please.

This is not the end of the world, I know how you feel, I have been there. Is your dog on pain meds and steroids? My doxin was paralysed for two and a half years. He walks , although his legs shake quite a bit. He has no control of his urine or bowels. I keep him in a male wrap for his urine, and I fe...

Re: paralyzed dog pressure sore won't heal

Hi Cami, when my doxin has a sore that he is licking I put an e collar on him so he can't reach it. This helps with the medication too, as he is unable to lick it off.

I help Wally in this same way, and lucky for me his stools never came out side ways either. These were excellent photos. I say thumbs up on the video!

Re: scissoring hind legs

Yes my Wally will sometimes have scissor legs when I am holding him. I take my hands and put them betwen his legs and pull them apart, I do this 10 times quite regulaly. I find it helps as he doesn't walk as often with his scissor legs, I hope this is helpful.
