Re: Manx Kitten, Nigel
HI there, It absolutely sounds like Manx Syndrome. In my opinion, and I am not a vet, an MRI is not necessary as it will not change the outcome. As someone who has had 4 Manx Syndrome cats (with varying degrees of Sydrome) over the years, I second diapering and/or expressing. Personally I have only ...

What breed is he? Unfortunately, there is a lot of BSL.

Re: lamb
I am so sorry to hear about your lamb. As someone who has dealt with brain damage in humans, I have to tell you that it really is not fixable. At least now your lamb has been spared any long-term suffering now. With summer approaching, it would have been hard to keep her cool, even with her fleece s...

I have had success ordering from 1-800-pet-meds and I am in Ontario. I have also used jefferspets and I did a search and found 3 results for coated aspirin:

I wish I had room but I just don't. What about some of the Toronto area rescues?

Re: Pekin duck with leg birth defect
When they were grown I would carry them around like they were babies. Ducks really are my favourite out of all the birds out there, because they tend to be very gentle and comedians. My favourite are runner ducks, which as someone put it, are bowling pins with legs. A picture would help us a lot in...

I loved this story so much that I posted it to my FB page. If I didn't already have rescues and had room for them, I would have loved to adopt them ...

Re: Pekin duck with leg birth defect
Hi there, Welcome. Ducklings are an amazing gift for your 40th! Are these your first ducklings? As far as the problem with Squirt's legs, if some of the bones are missing, there is probably not much that you can do. The plus side is that the two legs seem to be affected equally which is better than ...

Re: lamb
She is a pedigree Shetland Sheep. Good. I was worried that she would be a Karakal or some other large meat breed. Mu husband and I discussed having her PTS today but she seems to be trying to roll up today which is more than she could do yesterday. I have just put put a dish of lamb creep in front ...

Re: SEVERE scoliosis *pic*
She was being fed a horrible formula only when she cried in hunger (they fed her 2 to 3 ounces of cows milk twice a day- yes, you read that right) before she came to me. It's a miracle the garbage she was being fed (or starvation) didn't kill her. It is very acceptable to feed whole cow's milk to a...

Re: lamb
Hi Sue, I was going to mention that your lamb should have been up and walking almost right after birth. I know all about having babies in the house: just ask the bottle-fed goat baby who lost her mama and who spent a few weeks in the winter in our living room! In my experience, livestock vets know v...

Sasha, I am truly devastated for you. Bendy's loss is felt keenly all the way up here in Canada on this snowy day. I am so heart-broken.

Re: you've all been great friends...
I am in shock. Bendy has been a true inspiration to me and because of him I rescued a few "no-chance" cats, some of whom are still with me. The others spent their last days/months/years filled with love. Bendy, you are my hero.

Re: Advice on long haired cat hair knots
I am curious to know if your system works. I usually try to pull matts apart with my fingers. Often I end up just cutting them out and as much fur as the cat will allow. I usually end up with only minor scratches. I just have freakishly affectionate cats, I guess.
