Re: New additions to family
Oh, I forgot to add a collage I did of all the back yard doggies. Oh, and those are fences separating areas between dogs, not cages. I'm too short to get the photos over the fence.

Re: Cat Injury; Left side paralysis.
Thanks for the concern and support Iliana. It's so great to have friends that experience the same things with our little ones, even if it is just online. I would love to see any videos you have. I've been thinking about making one of Trooper. Just yesterday I was astounded to see Trooper get up on o...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Hi Les (and Deb), I have to say "you are a man after my own RESCUE HEART"! I can't count how many times I've had "those talks and deals" with the Man Upstairs. When I read your post, especially where you said: I made a "deal" with the Big Guy upstairs  and basic...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Hi Les, Everyone here is doing well. Trooper & Coe are doing well. As of last Friday Trooper is no longer feral. I was able to get a pll down him for tape worms. I'm also happy to report that although he still isn't standing, his back right leg seems fully functional. Now he drags himself up on ...

Re: New additions to family
Hi Tessa! It's definitely not easy. For the longest time I only had kitties in the house with my dog bears outside (after my Manny left his earth life). But when John moved in with me 5+ years ago, we rescued Cookie, our little MinPinDachsy, and have been adding ever since, up to the current 4 littl...

Re: AngelTillman's journey ends at 10 am on Saturday
I didn't see this post till tonight. My heart goes out to you... I had to stop once I started to reply because tears keep blurring my vision. I feel your pain and loss to my very gut! It makes it hard to breathe much less think of the right thing to say. Thank God we all have each other. I don't kno...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Hi Les, I know what you mean. If it's meant to be, it will be. "Que Sera, Sera...Whatever will be, will be" is basically what I live by. Anytime a non-animal person asks me why I do what I do, and how could I possibly continue rescuing animals if I don't know what's going to happen with th...

Re: Cat Injury; Left side paralysis.
Hi OdiesMom, I'm so happy to hear about your kitty. It's incredible, isn't it, what God and stubborn kitties can accomplish together? I would be just as cautious as you are in protecting him. I find myself doing that with my whole brood. Trooper is doing better and better each day. He's still not wa...

Re: New additions to family
Oh, yes! Worms are a constant source of aggravation around here what with the fleas we've been having. Kitties with tapeworms and puppies/dogs with round worms. I have a "medicine cabinet" that won't quit. Fortunately, his fat belly is from his love of eating, he's a little piglet. He even...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Hi Les, So sorry to hear about the problems catching Sabrina. I don't know if it will help, but I had that same problem a few years ago, so I went online and followed one lady's suggestion and it worked. Course, you may have already tried this. She told me to leave the have-a-heart trap out, not set...

Re: New additions to family
Okay, okay, I know I'm like a proud mom with a new baby. I keep grabbing the camera, but I promise I'll only post 2 more photos of my Melvin Moto Moto (unless of course, I get requests for more...haha... )
Take a look...he's just too cute.

Re: New additions to family
Thanks everyone! :thankyou: I forgot how much fun a puppy can be. I find myself stopping every hour or so to play with him, squeeze him, cuddle him. He and Coe are the first healthy animals we've rescued in quite a while. Coe shies from the camera, but Melvin loves the attention. I'm keeping it by t...

New additions to family
Just wanted to catch up with everyone and apologize for being absent the last month or so. After rescuing Trooper (my paraplegic kittycat), I figured "no more" additions to our furbaby family, what with our age and the amount of time and money it takes to care for all of them. Why I though...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Dear Les & Deb, I've been away from this forum because, believe it or not, my 'little family" has grown again to the point that I don't have much free time any more. I'm so very sorry to hear about Serenity. I do know that she is healthy and happy now. Another friend on this forum just lost...
