Dog has breathing problems at night

My dog is fine all day, then 2 hrs after dinner, starts panting like she is having trouble breathing. I've tried changing her diet and things haven't changed.

Re: Weimaraner being stubborn with new Walkin' Wheels Wheelc

Hi,

Quite possible that she was in the chair too long the first time. Take it slow and make sure you praise her when she pees and poops in the chair. Try adding the belly belt for the disc problem which will help support the her back.

Re: Question about foot stirrups

The boots are a good solution for knuckling under which will keep the foot from getting scraped. Keep in mind, he will still knuckle under wearing the boots. Another option would be the stirrup/boot kit which will allow your dog to use his back legs but also keep them up when tired: http://www.handi...

Re: delicate female dog question

Hi, I have a suggestion that might help the situation. While she is in the wheelchair, slide the leg ring connector forward so it's not touching her vulva area. You might also want to consider getting the Walkin' Wheels Rear Harness which might be more comfortable for her: http://www.handicappedpets...

Re: my corgi is able to lay down while he's in his wheelchai

Like the picture that Bobbie posted, as long as your Corgi is resting on a pillow bed, it is safe. Otherwise, this would not be a good idea for a period of time.

Re: Rear amputee nub falling out of sling

Hi, If you have the amputee cover over the leg rings and the stump is sliding off, I could recommend: 1. cutting a slit in the neoprene fabric of the cover and using the excess strapping of the leg rings to hold him in. If you are not sure, please call me or send a picture and I will be able to help...

Re: Spinal Stroke injury, getting worse. 3 good legs- 1 bad

Dose the Walking Wheel chair work with a dog who still has both back legs, BUT one of them is permn. down?

Yes, the Walkin Wheels works with one weak leg, You could put them in the stirrups and the good leg will still get exercise from it moving back and forth like a swimming motion.

Re: dog has no strength in any legs!

Ali,

See if you can get her up and moving using a rear harness or a towel rolled up the long way and placed in front of her rear legs (if this isn't too painful for her). This will help until you get the wheelchair. Hang in there, things will get better. :D

Re: I have a wheelchair I no longer need

You should post your ad in the Dog Wheelchair Classified:
http://useddogwheelchairs.com/ad-catego ... eelchairs/

Put in your ad what size struts and wheels you have or the fold of flank measurement:
