Re: Starting to get diaper rash/sores
bright red blood is from irritation, it isn't great but it isn't anything to panic over. It's hard to think of everything, we all overlook things that's why it's nice to be able to put our heads together.I agree in general Royal Canin is quite overpriced. a lot of finding the right food is trial and...

Re: Starting to get diaper rash/sores
if the cortisone shots are helping it, I would think it is a more a reaction to something. have you tried a cortisone cream? I have used Anusol on cats with sole buttholes. I'm glad something works! Chlorhexadine is not an astringent, it does not burn or sting. it's a surgical rinse. the peroxide wi...

Re: Starting to get diaper rash/sores
when i've used a blow dryer i've put it on low and put it down on something a few feet away, but even then some cats don't respond well. I just thought of something else. the diapers you are using, do they have any kind of lotion in them? One of my girls gets peeling skin if I use diapers that have ...

Re: Starting to get diaper rash/sores
One more thought.
Cold laser therapy, I have used this treatment on a cat with a severe allergic rash (nasty red running sores) and it was extremely beneficial. It takes a few treatments, but i did see some improvement after the first. Something to ask the vet about.

Re: Starting to get diaper rash/sores
Hello everyone, ugh, scald. the bane of an incontinent fur's existance. about zinc - whie it heals incredibly well it can kill a cat if ingested. I have used it on cats but only when I knew the area was diapered and secured enough so that they could not not not get to it. I've been caring for incont...

Your English is fine.. I'm glad he is doing better. Very glad you found a way for him to eat. Can he drink? You might be able to give him meat broth, just a thought if you aren't already. what i meant about the medicine is do you know if he is being given something for swelling? comparing medicines ...

Re: Facial Paralysis after injury
hard to know if the nerve is inflammed or actually damaged. has the vet tried him on any kind of anti-inflammatory? Onsior? Metacam? Prednisone? getting inflammation down will help the nerve recover, in general nerves takes months to recover. I have heard of nerves taking as long as a year to recove...

Happy Holidays from Bendy's Home!
Happy holidays to everyone! Petunia (first pict) is not handicapped but was very cute. I put the cape on her and she started nursing on it. Silly girl. Hopper ran around in her dress like she didn't even notice it. It certainly didn't get in the way of her sharing our dinner. Butterbean just thinks ...
