Re: Cleveland, GA - Broken Spirit on her own too long
Oh, how I wish I could take this doggie. Every time I see her face my heart wrenches in pain. She is so desperate for love and a home. You can see in her expression that she is just so tired. I rescued a dog once just like her, only all white. Same look...except she had apparently been dumped after ...

Re: Cleveland, GA - Broken Spirit on her own too long
I have way more animals than I'm allowed (15 dogs/10+ cats) and so I cannot take her in, although it breaks my heart not to. But would'nt it help if I (and those who are able to) donate money to the one of us that can take her in? To help with the cost of travel expenses, etc. Please let me know. I ...

Re: New additions to family
Well, I did it again. We have a new outside kitty that we adopted from the neighbors. He's now become best friends with my Isabel and her son Sunkist. He'll be going to the vet within the next 2 weeks for a "snip snip" and vaccinations. He's so pretty, a true "Sylvester" with the...

Re: 2 week yr old kitten who cannot use back legs
CarolC, you are so right. I am very glad for the avatars. I'll have to admit that when I was looking through the posts, I saw this one from Troopersmom and I had a "menopausal moment" of..." when did I post this? "...thinking that I needed to up my hormones to slow down memory lo...

Re: 2 week yr old kitten who cannot use back legs
Troopersmom (love that name), :welcome: I also found this site last October because I had a paralyzed kitty issue, except mine (a feral teenage kitty) was due to a "hit and run". My "Trooper" has made incredible progress since then...because I found this forum. The caretakers her...

Re: not sure what to do now
Tessa, I just saw the photo of your baby. What a cutie! I LOVE THOSE EARS!!! Is it okay if I nickname her "Donkey" until she grows into her ears? She looks so much like my Manny did. Same color, same ears...until of course he grew up and became the most handsome German Shepard ever. I wish...

Re: Mr. Kitty is sleeping under heavenly skies now...
:thankyou: How my life has changed since finding this incredible website forum. Even though my husband is always "there" for me to help with all our "little bears", he's not really good at handling the "sad" times. He kind of shuts down when it comes to that...too painf...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
sdrakkan, just a quick note to thank you again. I went to the amazon site you referred to and already downloaded to my kindle. Excellent information, and I even found other books on multi-dog households, etc. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I actually like it better than the Ces...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Thanks sdrakkan for the info. I will look at anything that will help. My little chowhuahua (that I now realize is probably a "pomhuahua" after seeing a friend's little Pomeranian) is still very scared, but getting a little better. After I post this I'll look up the sites you recommended. L...

Re: Irritation, etc. in incontinent cat
I don't know if this will help, but my handicapped kitty Trooper was having problems with UTIs and infections. He's no longer "feral" but he DOES NOT LIKE TO BE PICKED UP AND WILL BITE and scratch, the little squirt. I was beside myself, but I didn't want to constantly have him on antibiot...

Thank you my dearest friend Karen. I appreciate your sweet words and know in my heart that my Mr. Kitty is as close to your boys as we are. Isn't it wonderful to think that they are holding places for us...so that one day we'll all be united in friendship? :hearts: Thank you Christine and GabrielDea...

Re: New additions to family
Okey dokey. Here are a couple of photos of Melvin. He's growing so fast, I can't pick him up anymore. He's such a wiggle worm. He's lost his "puppy fat" and is beginning to look more doggie-like. But he still acts like a puppy. My poor little dogs don't know how to handle him, or vice vers...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Hi Les, Still sad today from Mr. Kitty's passing yesterday. Bittersweet sad. He was 20 years old. What a life! I posted a thread about him a little earlier. Anyway, I wanted to share something I just tried out for pets that get aggressive with each other. Actually, mine involves cats and dogs, not a...

"UNTIL ONE HAS LOVED AN ANIMAL, PART OF THEIR SOUL REMAINS UNAWAKENED" Anonymous Well, my sweet old Mr. Kitty, left the boundaries of our earth yesterday afternoon and went on ahead to that special place where he'll be waiting for me along with all my other little angels. He gave us 20 wo...

Re: 3 months after we put Sassy down we lose Serenity
Thanks Les and Deb for being such great people and friends. I can't believe it took me so long to find all of you. How in the world did I do this by myself? Even though I have John, it's different to find others who feel exactly like I do. Any doubts or misgivings I had in the past about my "ob...
