Re: Butterbean - pressure sores???
that is where today's sore is, and it is big, like two thumbnails, a thick scab. it has been farther along the tail before. and once or twice he has gotten spotaneous blood blisters on his belly. until today this particular area had been fine. with his whacky anatomy, however, that kind of thign sho...

Butterbean - pressure sores???
from time to time I will pick up Butterbean and discover what look like blood blisters, they heal in a few days. I know he has gotten scabs from too much scooting (which is why i devised better ways to wrap his hind end). Today he was sleeping on a nice bed all day. Same bed he always sleeps on. I c...

goodbye jean claude.
four vets reviewed his x-ray, they all agreed - mediastinal mass, that is cancer of the breastbone. when i first saw the x-ray yesterday i yelled "what the f**k is that?" we had an older x-ray to compare it to which got the point across even more horribly. he had had some trouble last Sept...

Re: Preventing infection in a cat in diapers
I have found a shampoo made by Tropiclean called Oxymed that works wonderfully for cleaning feces and urine out of fur. another goo thing is if you can use a shower attachment. trimming her fur will reduce the amount of material that is held close to the skin. I gave up on wipes. I bathe butterbean ...

cheapest source for newborn size diapers?
hey gang. Butterbean is going through several diapers a day. I do not keep him diapered all the time but he needs them for protection when he scoots around as well as so he can enjoy nice fleecy beds and such without making a laundry nightmare (i currently have no washer or dryer here that work). ye...

Re: Negative people
WELCOME!!!!!! glad you found us :) yes, we hav to deal with stupid comments all the time, very frustrating. we're not very tolerant of people tellin us what to do in general. Often we point out how happy our handipets are and how much we learn from them. sometimes we just tell ppl to p*ss off. headb...

Re: Butterbean kitten
Update from the friend ButterBean is staying with while mom is away: This morning he had gotten himself out of his bin and was zooooming around the house. He's FAST. Only got slight rub from it, thankfully, even though I had left him diaperless overnight to air (and because his diaper was full and n...
