Karen, Most blind cats usually adapt so well that a support group probably wouldn't be necessary -except to maybe encourage a new owner. My cat Silver does everything that the other cats do. He jumps baby gates, climbs 6 feet cat trees, catches flies and plays with most auditory toys appropriately.

I agree, but I get sooo much from my blinddogs group - fellowship, pride in our blindpups, similar experiences, tips that really work, and etc., that I told a friend I would search. Cats are a whole lot more adaptable and "able" to overcome this particular disability than a dog, simply because of the nature of the cat.

Hi Karen,

I'm thinking maybe it was <a href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HANDICATS ... ICATS2/</a>?

Still doing our Kibble training. Today he fell coming in the back door, can't put a rug there, the door would catch on it. Our new theme song here is Beach Boys' Wipeout (Nah-nah-nah--Nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh..) Used a karate belt to lift him, we managed.

Ah, shucks...it's genetic! That cat site is really pretty neat and has lots of other sites that are also neat! I've been on it since. And I don't have ANY pets! (Well, except Dave!)
