Beth,
Weeble is a little cutie. I can understand why you couldn't refuse him a home. He is a little love pup!
The poem about a "dog mom" is correct also. Here I sit with fur over a black turtleneck, slobber on my jeans. We give up sleep, food, money, time, and feel we haven't given enough. We spend hours teaching them words, to sit, or come when called. Heck, I had kids that wouldn't come when called. No one but another pet owner would understand why we do it.
Dianne, a dog mom, too

Re: Correct link
Dear Beth,
Good for you and Weeble ! How many times do you get him in the cart? 3-4 as Eddie advised?
A lovely family you have. Like Andi, he's sooooooo very cute!
Congrats again

update & proud parent moment
Winnie, To answer your question, depends on how tired he is. Had started out 4 times a day but since his muscles are still very weak, he was getting really tired, really quick & told me no a couple of times when I went to put him in his cart. Because I want this to be positive, I listened to him & backed off.
UPDATE~ Pround parent moment here guys! My boy the Weeblemyster took his first two steps in his cart last nite UNAIDED!!!!! I came down sick yesterday with a cold so hadn't gotten him into the cart all day. Well last nite he let me know in no uncertain terms he wanted in his cart. After placing his feet properly(his legs tend to just kinda hang back) he stood for a couple of minutes (I swear I can see his mind working...."Now how do I make these legs of mine do what I want?") I gave him a slow little push to get his legs moving, then just sat back & encouraged him..."Comeon Weeble you can do this!" And with all the determination in the world he threw his body against the front bar & managed two steps! YEAH! YIPEE! I know to some that is not a big deal, but this is a pup who a week ago who could barely stand in the cart more than a couple of minutes before his body started trembling. So this is HUGE to him & me!
Kren it won't be too lond before I'll have to show him where the brakes are!:>)

Congratulations Big Time!!!
If he can do 2 steps he can do more. Did he use all 4 feet? Wonder if you could put treats on a level he can reach in his cart and see if he'll walk to the treat? Sounds like he doesn't need much outside incentive though.
