Our Dog Chelsie came into her 2 heat two weekes ago while in heat her vaginal wall was bulging out of the volvar so took to the Vet she had emergency surgery to attach the wall and was spayed. She ended up with a bad infection that went threw her hold body. That was this weekend, now she does not have use of her back legs, she can feel them just can't get them to move on her own. So as you can can guess we are in shock and scrambling for info how to take take of a disable 87lb Blk Lab in our home. Anyone who has that info please get in touch with us.

Do you know why the sepsis caused paralysis? Can she poop and pee on her own?

The Vets are not sure of the cause just know she had High fever and body was fighting infection. She had a stiff neck on Sat a.m and than could not move legs.

Could she have Meningitis?
So sorry to hear you're going through this. It must have been a harrowing weekend.
You mentioned that she had a stiff neck. Could the sepsis have caused Meningitis (with complications that could include paralysis)? Has she been evaluated by a neurological vet?
