Well, you have come to the right place. I have 2 downed dachshunds that both use wheelchair carts. The simple fact is that there is no way to tell if or when your dog will recover. The crate rest is normal, and extremely necessary.

Although it weems thatyou are dealing with the situation rather well, I want to convey to you the importance to keep a good, positive attitude. Your dog will feed off of your attitude, so it is important to stay positive to help your pet recover.
