shani, my yorkie mix cricket had same , ruptured disk, he had surgery last november. i had to crate rest him for 6 weeks. only out to empty bladder, bowels and R.O.M. exercise. he is still paralyzed in hind legs, but what improvement he has made. he can spinal walk, run, play ball, whatever. i do P.T. on him 3 times a day, i do hyrotherapy in bathtub with him 3 days a week. it has helped. just today i pinched his back toes and he jumped, so i am hopeful deep pain is returning( cross fingers pals).
anyway, don't give up, with lots of hard work and faith your baby can get better i believe. i am no vet of course, but my vets are amazed by the progress cricket has made.
i have a video on www.youtube.com of him walking. at site click on videos, type in "another walking video of cricket".
see how far they can come,he was told he'd never walk again.
keep us informed and praying hard for you baby.
hugs, connie and cricket
vets are right, crate rest is so important!!!
also make you you empty bladder if he can't. expressing bladder is not too hard. good luck
