Help Needed: about the dog's front legs
Help Needed: about the dog's front legs
My two years beagle got lost, then I found him after he was hit by a car. I took him to the hospital and now he is at home, but he can't walk. His nerve system was destroy in the accident, so I would like to know if someone had any similar experience, and if there is any possibility to my dog to recover, at least to be able to walk a little.

Lidia,
Welcome to the board. We really need a little more information about the injury and diagnosis to help. I can tell you that there are many of us here who have active, happy paralyzed dogs. There are wheelie carts and slings to help them with mobility, etc. You didn't say if your dogs able to urinate on his own, but that too can be addressed.
Can he feel you pinch his toes? Is there any movement in the legs? Does he have bowel/bladder control?
