how long is it going to take Legume to heal???

Post by Bendy Kitty »

Legume goes for a checkup tomorrow morning before being dropped off at the shelter while mom is away.
She was cleaning him last night and a big yucky gob of goo dropped off his privates.
looked like dead skin, and who knows what else.
and it is more tender there than before.
poor little guy.
he is still as happy and bouncy as ever, tho. getting a good run around time for the evening.

how long do these type of injuries take to heal???
mom is not experienced with this and doesn't know what to expect from it. she is fairly sure, tho, that big disgusting globs of goo are NOT supposed to drop off periodically.

sighs.

take a VERY long time to finish sloughing off. When I got a bite at work that got infected even that simple thing took a lot of sloughing (but I didn't take antibiotics, either, so that might've prolonged it). Sloughing is usually a good thing to get rid of the nasties, even if raw hide is left open and a little painful.
