3 weeks update

Post by Annenoe »

So, as *everyone* said, we are truly amazed at how happy Mickey is now. He is a different dog - totally. His head is up, his tail is up, he's following us around the house again instead of staying on his bed all day. He goes downstairs easily, but is still tentative going up, can jump up on the couch (tho' not yet on the bed), can do the "full park loop" (about 1.5 mile from house to park and back). There is no doubt in my mind that he is happier on 3 than on 4.

Today marks 3 weeks and a day since he lost his leg (right rear).

WOW! 1.5 miles! Phoebe did a 2 mile run every morning but I'm pretty sure those days are over for her (front leg amputee). That so encouraging that Mickey is doing so well!

This is so wonderful. They are truly amazing aren't they?

They get on with the business of life and by doing so, without comlaining or moaning "Why Me??" they make us into better human beans! :trophy: :roses:
