I’m thrilled with how well Rhys is doing. The hardest part of the recovery for him has been developing the muscles in his remaining leg because they had atrophied due to the other leg limiting his mobility. Rhys has learned to jump and loves sleeping on the bed. He thinks he is very studly now that he can lift his leg/stump to pee. The unbendable left leg prevented him from jumping and he couldn’t bear weight on it for him to lift the right leg to pee. He gets around so much better without that leg.

Rhys is beyound amazing. Those shots are great and he is so athletic looking, nice and thin. It looks like all that comes before and after the surgery is so worth it when you see this beautiful dog running and just being a happy, normal dog.

I like how his ears fly around when he runs too. When they are relaxed and down they look kinda like a matador's hat.
