need suggestions--won't use leg!!!

My mini poodle hurt her rear leg a few months ago. She was splinted for some time. The specialty vet did some therapy, and recommended that she swim exercise in the tub (she won't) or walk in sand (none here)--in order to rebuild her muscles.

Any suggestions what else to do?? The vet has no ther ideas for exercises...and she is only using 3 legs. help!!!

Al, Welcome! We have a lot of Range of Motion (rom) ideas and folks aren't going to see your post up here in the registering area.
Can you please hit the 'register' button? and when you sign in you will have the ability to post in the appropriate section. If you have visited the mobility forum, you will see some ideas.
My suggestion in the meantime, is get in the tub with her, make it FUN time and get her a little swimmie to support her body weight so she had 'float'. Her legs will move out of instinct.
