Max moved to urgent
Max has been on this board for months and months. He was posted here by Carole who has suffered medical setbacks. Max is now URGENT and I wont say what his fate will be under the rescue organization if Carole cannot find his family. But it is not good. Shelters and Rescues are full up with dogs with no disabilities. Please, if you want a dog to play with a dog to run on the beach with, a rambunctious, lovin, brilliant, deaf almost blind BEAUTIFUL pup, email bordercollies_4ever@yahoo.com. This is truly urgent. Carole worked miracles with Max for the time he has been with her. PLEASE let's find his family now! Begging!

Re: Max moved to urgent
I will email the email address you gave. If somene can get him transported to Bucks County in PA, I can find him a forever home and he will have a foster home there with my mother until I do. Thanks.
Re: Max moved to urgent
OK. I have emailed them. I have a very strong recommendation to make. Whoever can supply photos and a description of Max's ways and his character and personality ought to figure out what major city he COULD be transpoted to (Atlanta, wherever...) and POST HIM ON CRAIG'S LIST. I find the greatest homes for all sorts of cats and dogs this way. You need to write a very catchy headline and as informative, literate, and winning a description as possible, making sure to tug on heart-strings. If anyone needs help in this, I would be happy to do it. You can place a dog o cat like Max in a good home within a week this way - the tougher cases within a month. I'd be happy to help do this for Max or for anyone else. If you do it yourself, make sure to provide a good photo, an arresting headline, and a good description of what makes the cat or dog wonderful and/or sad and desperate. Be sure to be literate. If you give your email address, do not use the @; replace it with [....at....] or something like that, or you will get a lot of spam. Lastly, when you give contact information, make sure you monitor your phone or email and reply very promptly to any promising-sounding adopter - within the hour, if possible. You will work amazing miracles and find people who would just love to adopt a special-needser or handicapped friend!
Re: Max moved to urgent
This is for people who have been reluctant to post on Craig's List for fear of getting wackos and social "undesirables" - when you post your quadriped friend, say "if interested, please email and make sure to answer the following questions when you write: ". Then you can ask some basic screening questions based on what you look for in an adopter. That means that already anyone who replies to you will be looking for a special-needser and anyone who takes the time and effort to answer your questions will at least care that much. Then you can judge the quality of the home/person by the email the person sends you. If you like the person's answers and he or she seems to be able to write a coherent, grammatically and orthographically correct email, you can pursue things. This is why I prefer to give an email address rather than a phone number, so that you can juge how a prson writes and he/she is forced to answer your questions. If someone does not bother to answer your questions when writing to inquire, do not waste your time.
P.s. Do notmake a headline just out of the name you have give the dog or cat and the words - "urgent plea - will die today" or something like that. No-one cares what the name is! You can mention in the headline that s/he is on Death Row about to be killed, but you need to say something about him or her to distinguish him/her and to make someone care. By the way, in the case of dogs, especially when there is not much you can say about the indiviual dog, do some research about the breed and provide that in the post, like "Border Collies are generally family dogs, very loyal and active" or whatever.
