Saved! I NEED A PERMANENT HOME OR FOSTER FOR LUCKY FOSTERED!!!

Post by cu33029 »

It is with GREAT sadness that I do this, but I have been hospitalized since last Thursday with internal GI bleeding. They found masses on my kidney & gallbladder & I will be in & out of the hospital for the next few months. The physical rehabilitation specialists have h...elped Lucky make an incredbile recovery! They think that her pelvis which is tilted, was pressing on nerves. Since the swelling has gone down & the pelvis has released pressure on these nerves & she is now able to walk, slanted, but she needs to take it slow. Lucky's pelvis is still fractured & tilted. She needs about another 4-6 weeks of healing. Lucky is the 6 month old GSD mix that I saved with everyone's help from MDAS. She was the abuse case that was hit by a car & her owners were charged with animal cruelty & neglect. She has been through #### & back & she needs a place where she will be LOVED & be the only dog, b/c her pelvis is still fractured & she can't rough house with other dogs. She needs light exercise, lots of love with someone who can work on her physical therapy exercises with her at home on a daily basis. Lucky has some money left for physcial therapy sessions which are already set up for her at the rehab center in Davie, FL. Lucky's prognosis is that after her pelvis heals, she will make a full recovery, although it may always be slanted & she may walk a little lopsided. Lucky is spayed, healthy, has all shots, rabies, is on frontline & heartguard & is 100% healthy. She lives indorrs, is not destructive & loves all people. She is a DOLL. If anyone can take Lucky & love her, please let me know. Thanks! Charlese (954) 445-9615 or (954) 404-7243.

Hi Charlese,

Sorry you have so much on your plate right now. Can you post a picture of her? Do we have your permission to crossport her with your contact information? I hope you have some help for the both of you while you try to find her a home.

Sending you both healing prayers. :grouph: Welcome

I saw your plea on Facebook. Here is Lucky's picture - she is beautiful! I am moving this to URGENT RESCUE and will crosspost to my contacts.

Karen, how can I show Charlese' wall post on my wall, like you did? As I write, I think I just have to LIKE it, if I am right, it will be there.

You "share" from Charlese' wall if it doesn't appear in your newsfeed. If you can't do that, simply save Luckys jpg to your desktop, c&p Charlese's plea and upload the photo to your FB and add or attach.

Lucky still needs another foster or permanent home. Charlese has accomplished so much in just a month. If you take a look at the videos, you will fall in love with this dog. She is so smart, sweet and trusting in spite of all she has been through. Please continue to crosspost about this precious girl. This is from Charlese' Facebook page about her:
NOT 1 PERSON IN SE FL HAS EVEN CALLED OR EMAILED ME ABOUT LUCKY! PLEASE SHARE & POST HER EVERYWHERE! SHE DESERVES A GOOD FOSTER IN SE FLORIDA! Lucky is the 6 mth old GSD/Lab mix puppy that was confiscated from abusive neglectful owners! She needs someone capable of giving her TLC!

Lucky was taken to the shelter as a ba...by. Adopted out & returned. The 2nd family who adopted her had to give her back to the shelter when they were charged with animal neglect & cruelty. Lucky was hit by a car & injured & had her pelvis fractured & couldn't walk. She was taken again from the shelter a 3rd time & has been in a foster home for a month with me but I am now ill. Lucky has received Vet care & is now healing, walking & playing & she goes to physical therapy sessions in SE FL, which she needs to continue. Lucky has ALL the funds to pay for her continued care & she is expected to make a full recovery!

She JUST needs someone to love her & take her in & continue to bring her to physical therapy! She has all shots, is 100% healthy, she loves kids, other dogs, never exposed to cats so I don't know if she likes them or not, she's spayed & is SO SMART & loving & playful! She's HW neg & on heartworm prevention & frontline!

She is an amazing dog & she truly is Lucky to even be alive!!! In her short life, she's already been through so much.... will you give her a 2nd chance & allow her to have a loving home??? I am her current foster & I am now ill (was recently hospitalized) & sadly need to find another person who will love her & care for her like I have.

Please send me a message if you are in teh SE FL area & intrested in fostering or adopting Lucky.

This is a really special dog (She's almost as smart as a human!) who needs a truly special person with a special heart full of love. Lucky will give you love, companionship & kisses in return & will remain in her current foster home until a good replacement is found!!!

Charlese,

it occurred to me as I watched her videos that show her healing, so happy and so loved by you and your family, that people think that she is okaye and there is no concern about finding her another home.

I think they need to know ...how crucial it is that she does find another home for both her benefit and yours. You have such a strong and loving spirit that shines through the videos as well. Anyone who has a beloved pet, handicapped or healthy, faces the reality of not being able to care for them due to an illness.

It is something none of us wants to confront and I am sorry this is happening to you. Friends, this is important.....Charlese needs you to help her help Lucky. Sending prayers of healing to both of you.

Charlese what's going on?
everybody I showed the link they love Lucky ( and how can you not) but they all have their commitments with other pets.
Did you ask dr Loesser?
would it help to ask the Humane society if they know foster homes?

Great news! Here are the Facebook posts. Puremutt, thanks for helping!

Charlese Uribe Lucky, my foster dog, went to live at Big Dog Ranch Rescue in WPB, FL today. It was a sad goodbye but I know she will be in a wonderful, clean place & will live inside, in air conditioning & will be well taken care of until they find a great family to adopt her. Goodbye little Lucky. I am so glad I got to save & rehabilitat you & that you are walking again & running around like a normal happy puppy!!! I already miss you dearly & you will forever be in my heart. To see where she went, please click the link below.

Charlese Uribe It's bittersweet. I know she needed to go find a family of her own, but I loved her so much.... when you rescue a dog they take a piece of your heart with them when they leave. I must say I cried like a baby after she left. That little [puppy & I have been through so much together. But I know she will be well taken care of & will go to a wonderful home. And that's all that I want for her. A good home with good people who will lover her & cherish her for the amazing puppy that she is! ;-)

Christine Hubal That's great news, Charlese. You did a wonderful thing by taking her and bringing her back to health in spite of your own issues. She will take all that love you showered on her and have the life she so deserves...thanks to you!
