Portland, OR - 12 yr old Female Cat

Post by sdrakkan »

Dooba is in need of a home! She was my grandpas cat but since he passed away late this last month she is in need of a home. She is about 12 year old and is still playful! Like most black cats has a few idiosyncrasies and due to this wouldn't be good for younger children. She was affectionate with me and is pretty darn cute! She has a little arthritis but is still mobile. Please send me a message if you think you are the right fit for Ms.Dooba or know someone who would! I would in a heartbeat but I'm not supposed to have the 4 that reside with me already. I have put in calls to local safe havens for older cats, but I want to cover my bases just in case her perfect owner is here!

Dooba is beautiful. I had two black cats - Pumpkin and Pandora. I hope you find a wonderful home for her. I am sorry about your grandpa.

Dooba is still available! She will be homeless in a matter of weeks when the home she lives in is sold. I did find out more about her; she is a HUGE trooper! When she was younger she decided being inside a car hood was a good idea and got sliced open by a fan. She didn't come home for 5 DAYS with her intestines not completely inside her! No major infections were found when she finally came home. As such, the scar tissue and the partial healing has made it so she likes to be carried like NO cat likes to be carried...under her front arms. She purrs like crazy. In the evening when you sit down, she runs for your lap giving head butts and lots of love. Is not a fan of dogs, at least ones like mine who think all cats (Mine) like being chased. Silly dogs...

Please let me know if Dooba would be a perfect fit for you!

Dooba's old owner would rather put her down than go through the work to try to find her a home. I'm so disgusted with her right now. Please, spread the word. She is a great cat and deserves a wonderful end to her life.

The house she has been living at has been sold, so she has until the 30th to get a new home or live in my mothers garage for the rest of her days. I'm not sure if this should be moved to urgent...

I went ahead and moved it for you. She so deserves a loving home. Do you have an assisted living organization nearby who would love a new, cuddly and furry resident? Putting her on my Facebook page again.
