A0932839 – Duke – 10 yr Neutered Belgian Malinois/ /Chow mix –

Surrendered due to NYC Housing Ban – 53lbs – Safer below/ Medical below Our ACO’s said he knows commands, walks well on a leash and has zero interest in other dogs. He does not like his ears touched but he does have an ear infection. As per his owners, he has been around other dogs, lived with cats (barks at) and has lived with 2 teenagers and a child. He is already neutered and can go!!

WORDS FROM A VOLUNTEER: Duke used to be a family dog. He lived with other pooches, cats and even young children. He was used to the comfort of a home but housing laws decided that ...he had to go. And Duke is such a good dog, not one who barks, not one who intend to intimidate anyone, man or beast. He is a good dog..... Duke is with us, at the Manhattan Care Center , waiting hopeful and patiently for someone to look at him in the eyes and see the goodness, the warmth and the companionship and old dog can still provide to a human. Duke is a gentle soul. He walks quite well although he is very overweight. He seems housetrained. He loves to be talked too and petted. He knows his basic commands and yes, he does shake hands. Other dogs do not bother him. He is a cool cat! Duke is a beautiful German Shepherd/Chow mix. He could benefit from more walks and a good diet. He is otherwise and unusual looking , friendly and affectionate dog.

Duke is already neutered and could go home with you.

I wrote Joann. I hope he's still alive. He could come here, get ots of walks and raw diet.
