PLEASE save Buddy (per my sister's post below)

Post by Iheartdogs »

I write to you with a very heavy heart on this Christmas morning. My
sister's dog, Buddy (welsh corgi), is currently disabled, incontinent
and at high risk for getting euthenized. His two hind legs stopped
working on Thanksgiving morning and he injured himself so badly while
dragging his lower regions on the floor that he has a mangled urethera
(with an obstructed opening). He needs to be expressed every four
hours and requires 3 types of medications daily. My sister is
currently a graduate student at UC Davis and is on the brink of
failing her courses because she's struggling to manage her studies
while caring for Buddy at the same time. She has taken Buddy to
several visits to the vet and the prognosis hasn't been optimistic.
We do not have the time nor resources to continue to care for Buddy.
She has made a very heart wrenching decision to put Buddy down in
early January 2013. I'm turning to you as a last resort, to please find it
in your heart to please save and adopt Buddy. I will make monthly donations and will pay
for his transportation to your location. I want him to live a full life and I know you receive
many pleas for help but please don't turn Buddy away. I've witnessed
several loved ones pass away this year and the pain never lessens but
it has made me more determined than ever to fight until the end. If
Buddy had a voice and if you could look into his eyes and/or
experience his wet licks on your faces, you'd see that Buddy is very
passionate about life and doesn't discriminate in his love for people.
He currently lives with my other sister and her three
cats. He gets along well with other animals and loves people.
Please, please, please...give Buddy a fighting chance and the care
that he deserves. I don't know what doggy heaven is like but I don't
believe Buddy is ready. Please help save a lifelong bestfriend.
