*BROUGHT IN TO BE EUTHANIZED BY HIS OWNER AFTER HE WAS HIT BY A CAR......HE WAS RESCUED BY ANOTHER- ONLY TO LOSE HIS HOME AGAIN......

SUFFOLK COUNTY LONG ISLAND NY- CONTACT his advocate at 631-704-4707

Doug, 4 year young male collie shepherd mix- hit by a car and surrendered by his owners to be euthanized.
Doug was rescued at the 11th hour by a good samaritan- and now, her landlord says he must go.
She's paid for his spinal surgery, and Doug is now on the mend- he doesn't have control over his bowels or bladder, and his bladder needs to be expressed.. Despite this, Doug cries when he needs to go out- and he's never had an accident in the house. The vet is hoping for a full recovery- however, spinal surgery takes time and there are no guarantees.

Doug weighs in at 40lbs, is great with dogs and cats, and he'll be headed back to the shelter if a home is not found- and he will be euthanized. He is available for foster or adoption.

Please share his story far and wide, as time is of the essence- and let's find Doug....his miracle.
