I could drive 100-150 miles towards Dallas (not sure exactly where that would put me?!) to get Baby Girl to Dallas. She still needs to be spayed so after the 1st of the year will be fine. Here are the posts about her...she is on the urgent rescue board...

Hi Karen,
I got your message. How can I help?
I adopted my little Kolbe Sue from Cincinnati Ohio this Summer. She is one of my paralyzed kittens. The owner drove down to Kansas City and I met her./Jean

Jean, there is a member of LWARC who is out of town at the moment who is the coordinator extraordinairre. I think you need to learn to coordinate. This is a huge responsibility. The driving is the easy part. You mapquest and join transport railroads which are corridor specific, like mine is I-95 corridor. The BIGGEST and most important part of any transport is the coordinator. I did a run for a Canadian once who had two simulataneous runs in my corridor. I still ALWAYS run for her! She amazes me constantly. You can learn this by looking at various runs staged by others. We have a SCREAMING need for transport coordinators! You have seen the runs in this forum and get the general idea. No more than 100 miles preferably less one way.

Karen,
Thank you for your faith in me. I think coordinating a rescue would be both challenging as well as also rewarding. But, at this time in my life it isn't a possibility. With 4 paralyzed pets and other pets with disabilities I am just too overwhelmed. Not to mention the fact that I work full time.
My furry kids are very demanding as well as time consuming and they have to be my first priority.
During school breaks like Christmas, I do have more time to be on the computer. But, when school goes back into session I have periods when I'm not on the computer for the entire week.
It would be so cool if we could find a coordinator that could help relocate the pets that are listed on this bb that need new homes.
I hope you can find that person. / Jean

So when you crosspost, will someone contact me if they are interested in helping or know of some way to connect me to someone? I am new to all of this. I would love to have her driven but I am also in contact with Pilots N Paws and I am going to research a few other outlets. Thanks for all the help!

Yes, you'll be the contact. I'll cross again in the next 24 hours and if you hear from anyone just post here that you have X, whatever that might be.
PAWS CROSSED!

Hi,
Could the adopter meet you half way?
When I adopted Kolbe Sue from Cincinnati her "mom" drove her to Kansas City and I drove up to get her.
When I adopted Ranger and Nova from Indianapolis the rescue lady meet me in Kansas City also.
It would likely make things faster if the adopter could meet you./Jean
PS: I think you have a VERY BIG heart to care so much about this pup !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The adopter does not feel comfortable leaving her special needs dogs for long periods of time.
