bipod kitty & feral one, Toledo, OH

Post by critters »

Dear Friends,

I received the following message from a shelter that we work closely
with.
If anyone knows a kind hearted soul that would like to at least take on
the cat
with no back legs, please write me at TICAGreatLakes @ AOL.com
(remove
spaces). (Toledo, OH area)

Sincerely,
Jay Christian
Great Lakes Regional Director
The International Cat Association

"We have two cats that really need some special care that we can not
provide
anymore. Scooter is approximately 4 1/2 yrs old born at home in Feb. 2004

w/o hind legs. We have been able to take care of him w/o any problems,
but as
he gets older he has stopped using the litter box, he cries all of the
time,
and he just does not seem happy. He needs a lot of attention and we are
not
able to give this to him. He is a very sweet cat. We had him at the vet
and his
testicles never fell so we do not know if he is uncomfortable with
"funny
feeling". We would like him to have a good loving home where someone
could give
him the attention he needs. We also have Hobo who showed up on our door
step
when he was 2-3 months old. He has lived with us since that day. He has
never
let anyone touch him nor get close to him. He goes day w/o anyone seeing

him. I have noticed that his ears need some attention and maybe his paws.
He
will not let anyone touch him. I am not sure if he is adoptable or not he
does
not play, he is so afraid and I feel so bad for him. I am hoping someone
can
help me find scooter a home and hobo a solution. "
