German Shepherd In So Cal

Post by GSD Guy »

Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles (310) 202-SAVE

Special Foster Needed! Tony is a wonderful 12 mos old German Shepherd. He is a gentle soul, very smart and kind. He is a “people dog” says his foster mom, he loves to be with you or near by enjoying a big dog bed. He lives in a foster home with other dogs and does vey well with everyone. Tony learned the house rules and routine immed...iately. Each dog has their own crate, at night he heads for his.

Tony would be a perfect dog almost, if you don’t have cats, he is too interested, but he has one more problem. It has to do with a problem with his spine, he has some nerve damage. Tony is housebroken and lets you know when he needs to go out, but he doesn’t have total control. We are trying a doggy diaper to see if that will help when he is inside. Tony doesn’t want to be an outside dog only; he wants to be your devoted companion. Our hearts are just breaking for Tony, we finally got him out of a warehouse kennel and in a foster home, but it is a short term situation. We need someplace for Tony quickly. It would just break his heart and spirit to be back sleeping on a cement floor surrounded by 100 dogs barking. If anyone can post Tony on their face book and network him anyway they can Tony would be so appreciative! All we need to find is one incredible person for our charming boy!See More

Oh, he sounds wonderful! Can you or they post a picture of him. That always helps. Are they expressing him? How much time does he have before they send him to a shelter?

Just wondering if a home has been found for Tony? We never did get a picture. He sounds like such a lovely dog - I will call the shelter if you don't know. Thanks.
