Calling all Rescues

For those that were unaware of the events that unfolded last week at Sanctuary Animal Refuge, I've attached news articles at the end. I think it's fair to consider it a major animal disaster that could benefit from the help of all rescuers.

Many rescuers sent dogs to this sanctuary and are trying desperately to find/retrieve them, however, there are many that came from animal control and lord knows where else that will need to be taken underwing -- namely those of the 30+ lb variety. It's important to note that the majority of these dogs DID NOT have any issues that would justify them ending up in a 'sanctuary.' Most were found to be very adoptable.

Calling all reputable rescues! Please consider helping at least one of the dogs at Palena Dorsey's so-called Sanctuary Animal Refuge in Port St Lucie Florida. Despite the fact that these animals have been living in miserable circumstances, the vast majority are sweet and good-natured - and so deserving of a loving family!

Chrissy Kaczynski, a wonderful rescuer and transporter, is at the sanctuary today and can field inquiries about the dogs needing rescue. Little bitty dogs have been moved out, but there are plenty of 30+ pounders in need as well as a wide variety of ages and breeds. Less than half the dogs in need are pits and almost everyone is living amiably with other dogs.
