Iowa: Lovable Long Haired Doxie with IVVD

Post by Christine »

WHO AM I? My name is Mars and I’ve been told that I am “out of this world” cute and sweet! I have IVVD and that scared my owner who doesn’t think he can care for me. I wish he could understand that not being able to use your back legs is not a death sentence and that with a little help, I’ll be just fine.

A wonderful doctor named Dr. Holland is trying to help find me a new home. It is too late for me to have surgery, so I am doing some crate rest right now, but I am a healthy 4 year old boy and she knows that I would do great in a cart. I’ve been neutered and up to date on all my shots. A nice lady has offered to give me my own wheelchair and I just can’t wait to bring my “wheels” with me to my new home – I just know we will have a ball!

WHERE AM I? Iowa

HOW CAN YOU HELP? If you have any questions or want to see me (and maybe take me home!),

Please contact Chris at 515-344-1242 or email eholland@mchsi.com

Please help get the word out by crossposting and sharing Mars far and wide. He deserves to live the life he loves so much.
