So glad that you had Honey and Sugar evaluated by your Vet. She sounds like she is very willing to help them and to work with you. Don't hesitate to go back for more bladder lessons. Having your husband trained will make their care even more manageable.
I emailed several rescue contacts in Houston. Maybe they will have contacts that might have ideas on future homes.
