About

Characteristics
playful, active, not a lapcat, funny, silly, beautiful

Health
Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Lady was infested with ticks when she came into rescue. She experienced some moderately severe tick paralysis. She is much better now, but still shows some symptoms. She often loses her balance and has a slight head-shake. She is perfectly healthy, but will exhibit these leftover signs of the tick paralysis for the rest of her life. She presents very similar to a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia.

Good in a home with
Other cats.

Prefers a home without
Children.

Meet Lady
Lady (estimated to be about 5 years old) is a very special girl. She would NOT be a good fit for a family with children. An experienced cat owner who understands that not every cat wants to snuggle would be a perfect match for Lady.

We rescued Lady from an outdoor environment; she was released into a feral cat colony, but was unable to survive on her own outside. When she came to us, Lady was infested with ticks. She suffered tick paralysis that has improved greatly, but will affect her for the rest of her life. She is a little bit wobbly, much like a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia.

Lady's personality is incredible. While she does not like to snuggle, she will sometimes give kisses if you offer your hand to her. She is very vocal and makes sure that everyone in the house knows when she is either looking for her favorite toy or has, in fact, found her favorite toy. Lady will come with a large pack of plastic springs. She adores plastic springs!

We are not sure how Lady would react to dogs or other animals, but we know she loves other cats. Her best friend in the world, Nori, is also for adoption. She would love it if you adopted Nori along with her! When Lady meets a new foster cat or kitten, she first acts like she does not like them. But within a few days, she'll be seen grooming the new cat or kitten in town!

We do not suggest a home with children because she will scratch if she is frightened. She does not like to be picked up or handled, so a child who does not understand this would be in danger of getting hurt. Her coat is so soft and pretty that everyone wants to pet her. When she finally knows you well enough to let you, it's like you've been CHOSEN.

If you would love to have a silly, playful, beautiful cat come live with you and can accept her as she is, a non-lapcat, Lady may be a great fit for you. If you have any questions, please email us at LawnsToLaps@gmail.com
