Meet Bayberry
Bayberry and her siblings were born in our care to a very young and tiny momma kitty, our sweet Hedge. Bayberry has two things you need to know about her, one she has a mild case of CH (cerebellar hypoplasia). This is a non-progressive condition, meaning it will not get any worse, and causes no pain. It's main symptom is clumsiness which Bayberry exhibits most when she gets super excited about something or very active, her backend will fall over periodically, but she gets right back up and keeps on going. Remember, she was born this way so she doesn't know she is any different than anyone else and she doesn't feel sorry for herself! Her CH does not affect her quality of life in any way and she has no issues with eating, using the litter box or other normal cat activities. Bayberry's other quirk is that she is OBSESSED with feet. Loves to roll on your feet, play with them, bite them, etc. and she will do it when you are walking too, so you have to watch out for that especially as she grows she might become a trip hazard. She basically wraps herself around your ankle and just stays on your foot and rides along. We can explain a lot of things about cats, but sometimes they have quirks we just don't understand...lol...but we love them anyway. This sweet girl is in foster care and can be seen by APPOINTMENT ONLY, and you must be preapproved, including a veterinary reference check, to set up an appointment, NO EXCEPTIONS. To begin the preapproval process please email taylordelee@yahoo.com
