Meet Cute as a Button Cocoa
Cocoa is one of the most resilient fighters we have ever met. When we rescued Cocoa she had been in a crate for over a month after a fall off of a bed which paralyzed her and made her visually impaired. Within 24 hours, she was already taking several steps on her own. She does have a custom wheelchair for the rest of her life, in case she needs it.
Cocoa is one year old, spayed and fully vetted but will have specific needs the rest of her life including medications.
While Cocoa can walk around she does use her wheels. She also goes to physical therapy and needs daily expression of her bladder. A family with special needs experience is a plus. We don’t know if Cocoa suffered any brain damage due to the fall so it’s important her new family is home more than not and provides constant stimulation. Cocoa is living with a teenager, several other dogs and small animals.
Cocoa is so sweet and adores human companionship but will need someone completely dedicated to her needs the rest of her life.
