Meet Geralt
**Geralts adopter must be experienced with under socialized, fearful cats, have at least one other friendly cat in the home, and no children.**

Geralt is a fluffy, cloud of a cat looking for his chance at a fur-ever home. Don't let his fluffy, soft looks fool you though because Geralt can be a real jerk sometimes, and you have to love that about him. Geralt came into the SPCA after being found living on the streets scared of everything and everyone. He was in rough shape with severe ear mites, wounds, and broken teeth. It was also discovered that Geralt is deaf! Missing one of your senses can be scary and for a cat who didn't get socialized to people properly when young it can make things so much scarier and more challenging. Geralt is now healthy and has received a dental surgery. He's spent the last several months in a foster home working on building up his trust with people. He has made progress but it will be a slow road for him and he is going to need a very patient, gentle, experienced cat guardian to help him adjust in his new home. He tends to run away if you try and go to him but let him come to you and he'll enjoy being brushed, getting back scratches, and will eventually even curl up next to you in bed for cuddles. Be aware he has limits and can tend to have some petting aggression. The key to helping Geralt come out of his shell in the home is having at least one other cat. Geralt LOVES OTHER CATS! As soon as he sees another cat he comes out from hiding. He would love to have a feline friend or two who also love other cats as Geralt doesn't really respect personal boundaries so the other cats have to be forgiving of his pushiness. When Geralt starts to get more comfortable in a home his playful side comes out (he can really play hard). He also loves sitting at the window watching the birds but must be a strictly indoor cat.
Because Geralt is deaf and very fearful he needs a quiet home with no more than 1 or 2 adults and absolutely no children. If surprised suddenly because he didn't hear a person approach he can sometimes react aggressively out of fear. With lots of love and time we know Geralt can continue to build trust with his person and share his love in a way that is acceptable to him. He will likely always be an anxious cat who will only trust special select people and an adopter will need to accept his boundaries. Could you be that special someone to finally show Geralt what it is to have a home?
