Meet Ariana (special girl)
Hi guys! I am Ariana! I'm a happy, friendly pup with incredible eyes and gentle with everyone! Since I'm young, I would love to have a human or doggy sibling! I have two doggie friends, and a toddler at my foster home, and we all have so much fun together! Playing, eating and napping are the best I may only have two legs, but don't be fooled, I'm very swift when I want to be! I have a drag bag to protect my rear from getting hurt on the ground, and brand new blue wheels to zoom around on walks! At home, I will be your BFF! If you've always wanted a little shadow, look no further! Come meet me soon!

Breed: Husky
Age: Just over 1 year
Gender: Female, spayed
Weight: 17 kg
Height: 50 cm

UPDATE: I am now in Canada and what a lively personality I have: https://youtu.be/AIcjFrQMZhs. I am so full of joy, I will bring you laughter and amusement daily.

Found writhing and whining in pain by a good Samaritan who works at a shelter in the streets of a major city in the Middle East. He and his friend took me to a pet hospital immediately. They decided that I needed to have spinal surgery to ease the pain. I am currently fully recovered.

Surely you are looking for a good-natured, talkative, friendly goofball like me. I really hope you will consider having me joining your family. I would make a great addition to any home. See, even good with kids https://youtu.be/TaMqG72rFcc. And I can even hold my own playing with other dogs: https://youtu.be/2Dy2Qz8s6vo.

I recently had to have my legs amputated https://youtu.be/dni9EDQwr3E. Don't worry, it hasn't changed my lovely attitude.

A new video of me cart racing. LOL. https://youtu.be/9QYwmXpsZwM.

I am good with:
dogs: yes
cats: yes
kids: yes

Energy level: moderate

Prey drive: unknown, not observed with cats, squirrels, rabbits, etc... My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

Fears: none observed. She is a very well-ajusted puppy

Training: working on basic commands
Leash training: in progress.
Housetrained: yes, I will let you know when I need to go by vocalizing it. I will need a wheelchair to be able to move around though. I may have a few accidents in my new home until I am used to your schedule, but I try hard not to slip up.

Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviors arise. Most bad behaviors can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviors in the bud before they become serious problems!

Basic training should be taken seriously and should begin within a week or so AFTER arrival. Check out courses in your local area and enroll right away. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.

Health notes: As mentioned above, I recently had surgery to remove an intestinal blockage. I am recovering well. My rear legs have been amputated. I have been vaccinated and microchipped.

My adoption fee is 650.00 CAD. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.

Due to ongoing limits on Vancouver flights yet, additional fees will apply if flying from another city. Unaccompanied Cargo costs within Canada: $275-$500 per dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. I will be on the first available flight, as I need to leave the Middle East as soon as possible. If a flight directly to Vancouver is not found quickly after I've found a family, the extra cost for cargo to Vancouver from Montreal or Toronto will NOT be optional.

If you would like to increase the chance of your dog coming sooner, the rescuer may be able to secure a cargo flight from the Middle East. This cost will likely be between $1200-3800 USD, dependent on size.

Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.

Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.

The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.

Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website.

*Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
