Kirpa / F / 2Y / 30lbs / Indian Pariah / Hamilton

Kirpa is the most affectionate girl you will ever meet. She always wants to be with people and loves attention and being pet. She will slide her little self over to anyone she can see to be as close as possible to them. She will even climb right into your lap for snuggles. Her foster mom says her love for attention is like no other!

Kirpa was hit by a motorcycle and this caused her to have paralysis of her hind legs. She most likely will not regain function of her hind legs but this does not slow her down at all! She scoots around the house so fast. She has a cart for outside to help her get around as well. She enjoys being in her cart and running around the yard and chasing the ball. She is a bit nervous of loud traffic (who can blame her after the accident) but she is getting more comfortable each day. She is not reactive to anything on leash and does not pull on leash.

Kirpa does need to have her bladder and bowels expressed 3 times a day but this is actually very easy to do! Her fosters did not have any experience with this before Kirpa and they learned in a few days. She is crate trained and goes in willingly at bed time and when she wants to have her chew toy. She sleeps soundly through the night and does not have any separation anxiety when left alone. She also eats her meals in her crate, as she does guard her food from the other animals in the home. Her foster mom says that she is one of the easiest fosters she’s had!

Kirpa is low energy but does also have a silly side that comes our in bursts. Once in a while she will get the zoomies and scoot around the back yard getting all excited. In the house she is calm and quiet. Kirpa currently gets a couple of 10-15 minute walks a day and some backyard time. When meeting new people, Kirpa is shy at first but warms up quickly. She is good with other dogs, cats and kids. She would do well in a house or apartment. If there are stairs in the home, they will need to be blocked off for her protection.

If you are interested in adopting Kirpa, please complete an adoption application on our website.
