Mocha is a beautiful senior gal. She is a 15 year old female long hair cat. Her coat is mostly white with a little gray on her back, black ears and dark gray tail. She is microchipped, spayed and declawed on the front two feet.

She was adopted from YHS three years ago but the adopter is no longer able to care for her. She is partially blind, but has excellent hearing and a great sense of smell. She is currently taking thyroid medication, Methimazole.

Mocha loves to cuddle, enjoys being brushed, and likes to follow you around the house. She’s a big talker and will let you know what she wants. She likes a clean litter box and if the litter box isn’t clean she will come find you and start telling you all about it. If her food dish is empty she will come looking for you so you can correct that situation. She eats Sheba canned food only.

She is great with dogs and other cats, and is litter box trained.

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up.

If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Meets and adoptions take place at a site chosen by the adoption coordinator. If the cat you wanted to adopt is no longer available, please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through and it may be relisted. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for. Adult cat and kitten adoption fee is $100 which covers vetting, vaccinations, worming, and flea treatment. If you are from out of town you will need a pre-paid spay/neuter receipt from your own veterinarian. For more information go to http://yvpr.org/adoptions.html
Thank you for thinking adoption and Good Luck!
