Tipsy is another local surrender. She came to us after her breeder left her with a good samaritan who quickly discovered they were not equipped to work with Tipsy's special needs.

Tipsy was born with a medical condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) aka Wobbly Cat Syndrome. This causes her to be unsteady on her feet and she walks around looking like she is drunk (which is how she got her name). Her symptoms increase when she is really focusing on something like a favourite toy or a bowl of food. CH does has varying levels of severity ranging from mild symptoms that are barely noticeable all the way to severe where a cat cannot walk on it's own. Tipsy's symptoms are moderate - she is able to run & play, eat & drink on her own and she even uses the litter box with all of the other cats.

As a result of her special needs Tipsy cannot jump onto furniture or go up & down stairs so it is very important that she finds a forever family who can ensure her safety around stairs. Tipsy also may require regular grooming to help keep herself tidy. She is able to use a regular litterbox, however, she goes to the bathroom laying on her side and occasionally her urine stream lands outside the litter box. Tipsy does spend extra time in the litterbox scritching to cover her bowel movements & on occasion will get some on her fur. With that being said she had had several baths while in our care and she is fantastic while in the tub!

Tipsy is currently in a foster home with several other cats as well as dogs ranging in size from 1 pound all the way up to 180 pounds. She absolutely loves playing with toys and even wrestling with her new French Bulldog foster brother & BFF. She also enjoys being brushed, cuddling on the couch and schmoozing guests when they come over for lots of love. Tipsy was born with CH so she has no idea that she is any different than any of the other animals in the home. She truly is an amazing little girl & deserves the best forever home.
