Meet Denver
Denver loves to play, purr, and find rays of sunshine to lay in! :) He'll even let you know when he thinks he needs more attention with a cute little chirp. He was born with no tail and and it is called manx syndrome. Manx kittiesoriginate from the tiny Isle of Man in the Irish Sea. Manx cats carry a unique gene - known as the Manx gene, or just the M gene - which prevents the vertebrae in the tail (coccygeal vertebrae) forming. His form of Manx syndrome causes him to be unable to control his bowel movements. He will never be litter box trained due to his condition. He wears diapers when roaming about the house and playing! He will need to be expressed twice a day and we can show you how to do this and have a vet consultation to also help show you! We offer two months post adoption care in helping to show you how to express his bladder and colon. He has to eat a special gastrointestinal food, which he loves and eats like a champ! He is super snuggly and loves to be held. He even gives kisses, he reaches out his little paws and pull your face close to his for a little smooch! If you think this sweet little special boy would be a good addition to your family please apply at www.animalaid.org/adopt
