Meet Pirate
Pirate is an adorable and energetic lab mix with an estimated birthday of 09/19/2021 that came to Murci's Mission from our rescue partners at SCRAPS.

He is friendly to dogs, cats and kids. He has relatively high energy and as such would be best in a home with kids that can take a little rough and tumble. At a potential adopter's home he did bite anothrr dog on the nose in his first 48 hours home and was returned. Although we have not seen this behavior from him, more time to decompress and a slow introduction to new dogs would be ideal. The mission can assist with dog to dog meet and greets for approved applicants.

Pirate had nerve damage to his front right limb which made it unusable. As a result, the best option for him was amputation, and he is now rocking the tripawd lifestyle. Based on his mobility in his new three legged state, it's likely that he has been operating with only the use of three legs for some time.

Pirate would make a great addition to any family with room in the heart and home for another pet. He comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. His adoption fee is $200 and includes his leash, collar, ID tag and a sample of the food he's been eating. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.
