Meet Dolly
Dolly is a beautiful dilute calico domestic medium hair with an estimated birthdate of 01/15/2019. She came to the Mission from our partners at SCRAPS where she was originally found stray, partially paralyzed and covered in her own waste. Sadly, Dolly can't tell us her story, but what we can see is that she has greatly improved and is ready for a forever home of her own.
The origin of Dolly's condition is unknown, and could have been anything from head trauma to poison or any other variety of obscure medical issues, and she was originally diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia, but CH is a static medical condition that does not improve or progress, so her excellent improvement removed CH as her primary diagnosis and she is still a medical mystery, but luckily her story has been a positive one.
At this time, Dolly still has minor head tremors and is unsteady on her feet at times, but she is eating, drinking, and pottying like a regular kitty and doesn't seem to have any further medical needs. There is a chance that she may continue to improve until she no longer has any neurological symptoms, or she may remain a bit wobbly, but we know the perfect family for her won't mind that she's a bit unsteady on her feet and shares characteristics with a bobble head doll.
Dolly is good with dogs, cats, and would likely be fine with children although we have yet to test her around them. She would make a great quirky addition to any family with room in the home and heart for another feline companion. She comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.
