Meet Whoopsie
Who doesn’t have a Whoopsie Daisy every now and again?

Whoopsie and Daisy are sisters who have been in rescue since they were six weeks old. They were owner surrendered to the Yakima Humane Society as a part of the My Last Litter Program with two other siblings before being placed into foster. The foster returned them after a couple months with severe upper respiratory infections, ear mites and ringworm! Wags offered to take them on and get them help which the YHS staff gratefully accepted especially since something funky was going on with Whoopsie’s front left paw. The next day they were taken to the vet, started on antibiotics and ringworm meds. Unfortunately, due to the length they had been struggling with the upper respiratory infections it took a couple rounds of antibiotics and time to clear out their systems. However, both girls have been given the all clear and are ready to find their forever home.

Whoopsie and Daisy are now five months old and we have them listed and Siamese/Balinese mixes. Their foster says they do everything together so we are looking for a home that is willing to take both ladies. Whoopsie had an X-Ray taken of her funky front left paw showing she doesn’t have any tendons in that paw which make her unable to retract her claws. The good news is the vet says this doesn’t affect her as long as her adopters give her regular nail trims so that her nails don’t catch on stuff. Also she must be indoor only as those nails don’t do much in the way of protecting her.

Their foster says that both girls are extremely playful, they especially love strings and hair. Whoopsie’s signature move is to sneak up and “attack”. Both girls will follow you to where the food is stored so you can feed them and although Daisy is the talker out of the two, Whoopsie is more sassy so if something isn’t going her way she will let you know. We think it should be mentioned that Whoopsie has the best grumpy face and considers herself a queen and should be treated as such. You can hear her little nails on her wonky paw clipping as she runs through the house which will bring a smile to your face. Most cats decided they want to be put down after a couple minutes of being held, but not these girls, they love to be held and snuggled. Love and attention is what keeps these girls thriving. They are currently in a home with a dog and two adult cats and do well with both. In fact they play more with the dog than they do with the other two cats. Whoopsie doesn’t like the smell of new cat, which was funny when her sister came home from the vet smelling different, so it can take her a while to settle into a home with other cats but within a week or two she gets over herself and doesn’t know what all the fuss was about. Both girls would do fine in a home with kids and have been around kids as young as two years old.

Whoopsie is currently an indoor-only kitten and we are looking for a home that will keep it that way. Don’t worry, Whoopsie is litter box trained in her foster home, however she is a kitten and with a new home environment she will need to learn where her new litter box is. Whoopsie is a kitten and kitten behavior comes with the package, she should be provided plenty of toys and scratching posts to continue good scratching habits. Whoopsie is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations including rabies and has been spayed. She has been microchipped and that will be registered to her family at time of adoption. If you think Whoopsie and Daisy may be the ones for you please go to our website wagstorichesanimalrescue.org and fill out the application to adopt both girls. If you aren’t sold yet, go check out Daisy’s bio. Be sure to include a vet reference, as regular vet care is important for the health of all of our adopted pets. With approval and a combined adoption fee of $250 ($125 each) they will be ready to find their happily ever after with you.
