Noodle is BLIND. He is a one-and-a-half-year-old male Great Pyrenees. He's on the small size for the breed, weighing in at 70 lbs. He was born without an eye, and, while he has the other, he cannot see. We have had him since April 2023 and while he has had much interest, he needs just the right home. Its important to note he was born this way, so its always been his "normal." He was surrendered to us when his family found it too much to accommodate him.

He has the best temperament and will make a wonderful companion. While his lack of sight makes him a "special needs" pet, you would be amazed at how well a blind dog can navigate his surroundings. How does he do that? We've pictured him here with his nose in the air - his nose is key, he relies heavily on scent. We've also pictured him listening, his hearing also aids him. For dogs, these two things allow them to live very nicely without sight. He can easily go up and down stairs and once he knows the landscape, he rarely bumps into anything. He's currently in a wonderful foster home, and he's doing great! He's gentle with children; he's very affectionate and friendly. We've recently introduced him to many different dogs and he gets along with all of them and would easily enjoy another dog's company.

There are a couple of MUSTS:
1. Noodle must have a good fenced-in yard and never be allowed the chance to get loose. The yard must be free of hazards - terraced walls, too many trees, fire pits - things he could "fall" from/into or be unable to find away around.
2. A home that remains "predictable" for the dog. Home environment where everything is in its place.

If interested in adopting him, our process begins with submission of OUR online application which can be found at www.adoptembluegrasspetrescue.com.

Meets will be set with approved applicants only and are set by appointment. Thank you!
