Meet Sonya - moderate CH
Sonya, mayor of Whoville, is a silver Persian with moderate to severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia (ch). She came all the way from the streets of Kuwait to find a better life in the US. Sonya is very friendly and loves to be pet and held. CH means that the part of her brain that controls fine motor functions was never fully developed. She knows what she wants and needs to do, but her brain limits the output. CH makes Sonya very wobbly when she walks, and it’s common for her to slip or fall. But don’t be alarmed, she is determined and every day she gets stronger.

Sonya knows how to use a litterbox but will likely need an adjustment period when she’s adopted. It’s takes some time for her to get the hang of everything in her home. An adopter that can understand if she doesn’t quite make it to the litter box, is especially appreciated.

Sonya will be ready for adoption around 12/30/2023.

Sonya will be spayed prior to adoption. She is vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/Felv negative.

Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
