Meet Olaf (M) INDOOR ONLY
Say hello to cute little Olaf! Olaf was born July 2017 and was found living in an industrial park in Stockton. He is sweet and friendly. While putting up found posters to locate the owner, we were approached by a woman saying Olaf was hers. She had unfortunately fallen on hard times, was a veteran of the United States armed forces and currently homeless. When she found out we could find him a home, she was so happy for him because she was having a very hard time caring for herself as well as Olaf. Olaf is considered special needs as he has difficulty emptying his bladder. Upon evaluation at UC Davis, it was discovered this is likely because of Manx Syndrome which the breed is often predisposed to unfortunately. He may need assistance by his new parents fully expressing his bladder regularly, otherwise he dribbles some. Sadly this special need has kept Olaf in rescue for over a year so far. We know this is not ideal, but it’s what he’s been dealt and if you knew him he’s so so sweet and we’d just love to find him a special home of his own. Olaf is loving and likes to play. He can be shy to begin with but, when he warms up, he is very sweet! Olaf couldn't be more ready for a home to call his own. A home that he can count on in the good times and bad, through moves and family stresses, he’s a lifetime commitment. If there’s a possibility you will have to return him to us should you need to move, please keep looking. Olaf is looking for a stable life where he will be valued like a fur child and given a lifetime commitment. If you think you’re a good match for Olaf and can provide him with an indoor only life, please submit an application at www.secondchancekitty.org!

All Second Chance Kitty cats are free fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended.

All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative unless stated otherwise , dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe.

Adoption isn't an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we're renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment please take a moment and visit our website at www.secondchancekitty.org to submit an application.

Second Chance Kitty is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting cats, kittens and an occasional dog, escape a life of abandonment, abuse and neglect.
