Meet Clara
Hi, I’m Clara!

In September 2023, I was found in Caddo Parish, Louisiana with a fresh bullet in my back, broken bones, and covered in blood left to die. I am close to 2 yrs of age.

The caring rescue organization found out about me and got me the help I needed, and paid for spinal surgery to try and make me more mobile. I’ve been living at a vet hospital and with various foster moms on and off, who have really helped me learn what a safe home life can be. I am endlessly loyal and give the biggest most loving eyes to my caretakers who give me their effort and affection. Many people say I may walk again, but I need a patient foster or adopter to help me heal and be my best self.

Clara is a mix of a Labrador Retriever. I have the kindest, most forgiving heart. I am dog, cat and kid friendly! I can be shy with some men but warm up soon with some treats and kind words. I love snuggles, walks, and a good frozen kong. I love to give kisses.
I am spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

You can help me by spreading the word about how cute I am so I can find a home, or donating to my water therapy and veterinary care!
***ALL VETERINARY EXPENSES, FOOD, ETC COVERED WHILE IN FOSTER CARE.*** Please consider fostering until her forever home is found. She is so very sad when put into boarding.

Please call me for further details & the name of the wonderful rescue organization that saved her & will make final decision where she goes.
