Dog has breathing problems at night

My dog is fine all day, then 2 hrs after dinner, starts panting like she is having trouble breathing. I've tried changing her diet and things haven't changed.

You might try giving her 2 smaller meals instead of one large meal at night. I think I'd have her checked though, especially if she is older. Valve disease can cause them to be short of breath at night. But I think it could be so many things, you'd probably feel better having the vet look at her so you have peace of mind.

Yes, there are so many possibilities--heart disease, lung disease, etc. I expect a vet would want to listen, and probably x-ray.
