Hi,

I have a 2year young Cockatiel(Mango), That fell from his cage,

we took Her(Mango) to the Specialists, where they took X-ray's they advised us that Mango landed badly, and there was movement in her spine, it did not appear to be broken,

they have give us anti-inflammatory medicine to give to her, and hopefully once swelling in Mango's bone marrow has stopped she might be able to use her legs again,

i am currently feeding mango every 6 hours with hand feeding formula, and we are on day 3 since her accident(happened on Sunday eve)

i would just like to know since she has no use of her legs at the moment, "pooping" is a bit difficult. how o i clean her? is there a method i can use or something to help prevent blockages, her poop currently is very watery...

any advise would be appreciated,

Regards.

:slant: I know very little about birds, but you might find more help on the bird board viewforum.php?f=19 . I'm glad she has medicine, because she might be OK if you give her enough time, like maybe months. She's lucky to have you!!
