Two Bobbies - a children's book

After Hurricane Katrina, a dog and a cat roamed the streets of New Orleans together for 4 months before they were finally rescued. It was only after they were taken to Best Friends in Utah that it was discovered the cat was blind. This is a true story.

Wow! Doesn't it make you want to read the book? They think Bob the cat followed the sound of Bobbi the dog's chain dragging the ground. In the book it tells how they were taken to Best Friends and put in separate quarters, dogs in one area, cats in another, and Bobbi the dog barked/cried/howled until the shelter put them back together. They put Bob in a small cage and put it inside Bobbi's kennel, then they opened the cage and let Bob out and the two touched noses and only then did they realize Bob was blind. The new owner drove down from the Pacific Northwest to adopt them.
